History and Sacred Art
Led by the sculptor José Neves Ferreira, in a small workshop
located in Fânzeres (Portugal), he began by taking small steps that led him to manage one of the reference companies in the production of high quality religious pieces.
Throughout its history, Casa Fânzeres collaborated with renowned painters from the traditional workshops of Braga, an experience that inspired the creation of its own team of Sacred Art painters, preserving tradition, authenticity, and exceptional craftsmanship.
His talent and dedication led to the creation of handcrafted wooden Sacred Art sculptures, distinguished by their intricate details and exceptional finishes. The quality of his work earned national and international recognition, allowing his creations to reach churches, collectors, and institutions around the world.
Over the years, the company continued to thrive
and today, Casa Fânzeres continues this legacy under the leadership of José Neves Ferreira and his sons, Hugo and Tiago Neves. Together, they foster craftsmanship and develop new talent, supported by a team of nearly 30 professionals specialized in Sacred Art.
Casa Fânzeres is recognized as a benchmark in Sacred Art, renowned for the excellence and quality of its creations. Every piece is handcrafted by skilled sculptors, woodcarvers, cabinetmakers, restorers, and painters, preserving Portuguese craftsmanship while serving churches, institutions, and collectors worldwide.
Today, our workshop features a collection of over 8,000 Sacred Art models, continuously expanded with new handcrafted creations developed daily by our team of artists and craftsmen.
Over the decades, Casa Fânzeres has become an internationally recognized name in Sacred Art. Its religious sculptures and sacred artworks can be found in churches, shrines, and places of worship worldwide, valued for their artistic excellence, authenticity, and spiritual significance.
Our purpose is to create Sacred Art that inspires faith and preserves tradition, serving churches, parishes, shrines, and an increasing number of collectors who value the artistic, historical, and spiritual significance of each handcrafted piece.
Currently, Casa Fânzeres has its own workshop in Fânzeres and a physical shop in Braga.
Casa Fânzeres keeps alive the essence and values established by the Neves family, transmitting their passion for Sacred Art and their commitment to spreading the beauty of faith through each work. With each piece created, Casa Fânzeres seeks to leave a lasting legacy in the world of Sacred Art and religious devotion.
